Brau Abu Dhabi & Brau Saudi Arabia: H2R Design Expands a Sculptural, Sensorial Design Language Across the Region
Homegrown design studio H2R Design continues its strong momentum across the Middle East with the completion of two significant new projects for Brau, the region’s premier brow, lash, and semi-permanent makeup studio. Following the success of Brau Jumeirah in Dubai, the newly unveiled Brau Abu Dhabi and Brau Saudi Arabia represent a confident evolution of the brand’s visual and spatial identity.
Both projects introduce a refined expression of Brau’s sculptural minimalism, characterised by soft curves, organic geometry, warm tonalities, and tactile surfaces, while responding sensitively to the differing contexts of Abu Dhabi and Riyadh. The result is a pair of interiors that feel unmistakably Brau yet uniquely shaped by their individual locations.
This dual expansion illustrates H2R Design’s ability to reinterpret a brand language through space, creating environments that feel sensorial, calming, and deeply experiential.

Crafting Calm Within Constraint: Brau Abu Dhabi
Situated within the Waitrose Centre, Brau Abu Dhabi presented H2R Design with a compact and highly technical footprint. The studio approached the space with the precision of a sculptor, meticulously studying every millimetre to ensure operational efficiency without compromising the guest experience.
Once the spatial planning was perfected, the focus shifted to the emotional and aesthetic qualities that define Brau. H2R drew inspiration from the brand’s core attributes: balance, symmetry, soft curves, bold accents, and renewal; translating them into an environment that feels warm, modern, and effortlessly serene.

The colour palette plays a central role. Soft sand beige, terracotta clay, warm ivory, and Brau’s signature Red Travertine establish a cohesive visual identity. Red Travertine makes an immediate impression at the entrance, acting as a sculptural anchor that hints at the journey within. Inside, the space unfolds through gentle curves, layered textures, and subtle tonal gradients that add depth while maintaining visual clarity.
Materials are intentionally kept simple yet expressive: plastered surfaces, natural textures, and warm stone create a restorative calm that supports the service-led environment. The final result is a compact but beautifully orchestrated interior; one that feels thoughtful, sensory, and unmistakably aligned with Brau’s modern femininity.

A Flagship Reimagined: Brau Saudi Arabia at The Canopy Mall
For Brau’s debut in Saudi Arabia, H2R Design was tasked with creating a flagship that would introduce the brand’s identity to a new and rapidly evolving market. Located in The Canopy Mall in Riyadh, the space redefines what a contemporary beauty and wellness destination can be: light-filled, immersive, and architecturally confident.
Guided by the concept of “The Wondrous Portal,” H2R conceived a space that explores transformation through light, texture, and material interplay. Curved surfaces and sculpted forms establish an immediate sense of motion, allowing guests to transition intuitively from one zone to the next. Diffused gradients, tonal shifts, and rhythmic spatial sequencing contribute to a fluid, almost cinematic experience.
One of the project’s defining features is the multifunctional architectural wall. Acting simultaneously as a statement entry, retail display, and brow bar, it encapsulates the project’s central design narrative: simplicity elevated through sculptural precision. Its organic geometry, paired with a play of matte and glossy finishes, adds dynamism while grounding the space in Brau’s aesthetic DNA.

The material palette feels more expressive than in Abu Dhabi, yet remains cohesive. Microcement, marble, speciality paints, and dichroic metals were chosen for their interactions with both natural and ambient light. These materials enable the space to shift in tone throughout the day, an experiential quality that supports the brand’s focus on transformation.
Elements such as the emerald green tunnel, sculpted ceilings, and terracotta-toned gradients add moments of drama while maintaining a sense of wellness-driven tranquillity. Despite technical challenges, including a double-level configuration, H2R maintained an atmosphere of openness, luminosity, and comfort through thoughtful zoning and light management.
The resulting flagship is bold yet soothing; a contemporary interpretation of beauty and self-care, underpinned by organic form, material richness, and sensorial connection.

A Regional Design Language in Motion
Taken together, Brau Abu Dhabi and Brau Saudi Arabia demonstrate H2R Design’s ability to craft interiors that are both strategically unified and visually distinct. The studios share a sculptural minimalism that has become central to Brau’s identity. Yet, each responds directly to its context: compact precision and restorative warmth in Abu Dhabi, expansive fluidity and expressive materiality in Riyadh.
For the Middle East’s evolving beauty, retail, and wellness landscape, these projects represent a benchmark in design-led brand expansion; spaces that prioritise emotion, clarity, and atmosphere as key components of the user experience.
